House-building group, Barratt Developments, which incorporates both Barratt Homes Manchester and David Wilson Homes (DWH) North West, has announced that it is to support around 1500 extra jobs across the region in 2016.
The announcement comes as a result of plans to build over 900 homes on new land acquired in the North West and will bring the total number of homes to be built by Barratt this year in the region to around 1400.
Barratt and DWH already have a large number of successful developments Greater Manchester including The Vista, Heywood, Blundell’s Wood in Wigan, Kingsway and St Martin’s View in Rochdale and Bollin Park, Wilmslow.
Planning for new homes in Greater Manchester includes new sites in Walkden and Cheadle. The Group predominately employs local sub-contractors and tradesmen – so local businesses and people will benefit directly from the jobs.
