The CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development, has today launched the CIPD People Management Awards 2017, one of the most highly anticipated events in the HR and L&D calendar. Delivered in partnership with People Management magazine, the awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in people management and learning and development.
The awards are made up of 19 individual, team and specialist categories, as well as an overall winner. They are open to all organisations regardless of size or sector, and highlight the valuable contribution that HR and L&D professionals make to the overall success and sustainability of an organisation.A new category this year is ‘Best international HR initiative’, which recognises the need for HR to be agile in an increasingly global marketplace. The shortlist will be announced week commencing 5 June, ahead of the awards dinner, which will take place on Tuesday 26 September 2017 at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.

- Best international HR initiative
- Best L&D initiative – public/third sector
- Best L&D initiative – private sector
- Best recruitment and talent management initiative
- Best reward initiative
- Best SME people management initiative
- HR/L&D team of the year
- Michael Kelly outstanding student award – advanced level
- Michael Kelly outstanding student award – intermediate and foundation level
