The number of job vacancies in the Gulf’s hospitality sector more than tripled between 2009 and 2013, according to a recruitment specialist.
A report published by Catererglobal.com suggests that the number of vacancies rose from 18,000 in 2009 to 61,000 in 2013. Since 2012, meanwhile, job vacancies have increased by 25%.
The company used data from 150,000 active candidates seeking jobs and also reorted that HR managers are struggling to find the right candidates for many of the positions. The report covers Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
