Leading Transport & Logistics Recruiter Invests £1m in IT and Customer Services

Driver Hire, the leading transport & logistics recruitment business, has invested £1m in its IT infrastructure, delivering a further boost to its customer offer.

“The investment includes the development and roll-out of dhOps X, Driver Hire’s new core operations system,” says Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s Chief executive. “We’ve also invested substantially in developing dh Licence Check, the online driving licence verification service, and a set of eLearning modules for commercial drivers. Each system contributes to a substantially upgraded and more integrated service for our customers.”

andy-john-pic-2At the same time Driver Hire has also announced two senior-level appointments as a further part of its transition to a technology-led business. Interim IT director John Keelan-Edwards has been appointed on a permanent basis as Driver Risk Management and Group Technology Services Director. Meanwhile, Andy Hibbert, previously Group Commercial and Sales Director at 24/7 Recruitment, has been appointed as Network Development Director.

Driver Hire continues to report strong trading. Its 103 office nationwide network recently completed an all-time record September. High levels of demand for its services continued into October with several high profile national businesses selecting Driver Hire as its recruitment partner.

Chris Chidley added:
