The Mexican Association of Human Capital Companies (AMECH) announced outsourced employment, defined in this case as agency work, grew 7.1% from January to July 2015 compared to the same period in the prior year. Outsourcing companies have created 150,000 jobs.
AMECH’s monthly report pointed out that of the 17 million people who work in formal employment, 0.84% are in outsourcing. This means there are about 4.9 million people working in outsourcing in Mexico — 3% of whom are employed by companies that are members of AMECH. The members of AMECH fully comply with tax and labor obligations, and the average wage that these outsourced workers are paid is about 9.300 pesos, four times the minimum wage.
