A survey by conference call provider www.powwownow.co.uk has revealed that up to 70% of the UK said that the option of flexible working would make a job more attractive to them.

Rigid 9-5 working hours are now a thing of the past. If businesses intend to have high retention rates of their top talent, they need to realise that it’s not only about the dollar (or pound) sign anymore.

This change in routine couldn’t come sooner for some employees as the survey revealed 53.1% of the UK arrive stressed or flustered at work due to their commute.

Jason Downes, Managing Director of www.powwownow.co.uk said:

“As businesses look to expand and grow, satisfying the needs of their employees is crucial. This can be achieved in many ways, for example using flexible working as a business encourages smarter thinking. This allows people to balance their life outside of work, leaving room for time to think and work more effectively.”

I was just wondering if this would be of any interest to you at all for an article on the rise of flexible working and how it is a necessity for every business wanting to survive in the competitive market of today.

With over 60% of employees wanting more time for their hobbies, looking after young family and extracurricular activities flexible working is indeed a necessity for every business wanting to survive in the competitive market of today.
