Jonathan Wright has enjoyed success and felt the pain of failure in an exciting 30 year career in recruitment that has seen him take two businesses through an IPO, as well as leading and advising a number of high growth private companies that has resulted in the completion of over 20 fund raising and M&A transactions realising in excess of £350m for shareholders.
Yet what is unique about his career has been his time spent with four of the most successful and celebrated entrepreneurs in the industry;
He spent 10 years as James Caan’s number 2 at the Alexander Mann Group, witnessing first-hand the skills of a man who has now built, from scratch, and exited two £100m plus businesses, has gone on to become a household name as an investor on Dragons Den, and recently has been awarded a CBE in the Queen’s New Year’s honours.
In his time as CEO of Alexander Mann he persuaded their board to back a radical business plan put forward by Rosaleen Blair to build a Recruitment Process Outsourcing business. He was her mentor for the first 6 years of her tenure as head of AMS, and has seen her career explode; leading AMS to the biggest Private Equity transaction in the history of the UK recruitment industry, being awarded the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year in 2007 and the HRO Global Superstar on two occasions.
