APSCo Awards for Excellence 2017 Shortlist Announced


After much anticipation, the shortlist for the 2017 Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) Awards for Excellence – sponsored by NatWest and 6CATS International – has been unveiled. These coveted annual awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in the professional recruitment sector.

The shortlisted companies will be invited to attend a Q & A session with APSCo’s panel of independent judges and winners are to be announced at an exclusive luncheon on the 18th October 2017. Guest speaker on the afternoon will be David D’Souza, Head of London at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), who will deliver a keynote speech on issues including skills shortages, retention, identifying and maximising untapped pools and the value of a trusted recruitment partner.

Commenting on the announcement, Ann Swain, APSCo Chief Executive said;

“These awards are now firmly recognised as the most prestigious accolade in professional recruitment and are a unique indicator of standards throughout the sector. The annual event has become the premier showcase for innovation, best practice and outstanding achievements which acts as a catalyst for firms to attract publicity and build their brand amongst key stakeholders.”

A commonality which all shortlisted organisations share is a strong commitment to training and development – and I’m sure it is no coincidence that this is why these companies maintain such high professional standards and excel in innovation. Once again, I expect it to be challenging for our judges to decide on the winners. All of our finalists have shown a real commitment to the ethos of APSCo and have demonstrated real excellence and we congratulate them all.”

A new category, Best Client Initiative of the Year, has been added to the extensive list of awards for 2017 for those who can demonstrate an outstanding or innovative venture that has made a significant difference to a client, goes above and beyond what is normally expected of a recruitment partner and has changed the way the client views the supplier relationship.
