Bristol recruitment firm RedRock Consulting have been recognised as one of the best small businesses to work for in the UK, earning 11th spot in this year’s list of 100 Best Small Companies to Work For at last night’s Best Companies awards evening.
RedRock received the accolade after earning the maximum three-star status for their extraordinary levels of employee engagement and have also been named in the list of the 75 Best Companies to Work For in the South West which will be announced on 1st March.
Best Companies have been creating the lists since 2001 and the achievement recognises an employer’s commitment to their staff, clients and community. This is the first year that RedRock have been entered into the Best Companies awards.
After a poignant visit to Bristol Royal Infirmary for Children ahead of Christmas 2017, RedRock named The Grand Appeal as their Charity of the Year for 2018 and contributed more than £13,000.
Fundraising has so far included a team of 15 members of staff taking part in a Tough Mudder event, as well as sponsorship of The Howl Gromit sculpture in the charity’s Gromit Unleashed 2 trail that ran throughout the city last year.
To celebrate their achievement, RedRock are taking all members of staff to Dublin for a weekend in March, going against the grain of industry standards which tend to offer exclusive incentives for a firm’s top billers.
Dean Harte, Co-Founder and Managing Director at RedRock Consulting, said:
“For us, creating a successful business is about more than financial growth, it’s about building a community.
“That’s something we practice within RedRock, and we’re proud of what we provide in terms of team activities, support and career progression. “But what we’re most proud of is the role we play within our local community here in Bristol. We work closely with The Grand Appeal because of the incredible work they do to support families in the most difficult of times in the South West.”
Luke Fuidge, Team Manager, said:
“I’ve worked at RedRock for eight and a half years, working through the ranks from my beginnings as a Resourcer. The Directors here recognise potential and know how to nurture that. They care about our development both professionally and personally and there’s a real family feel within the business. It’s really different from your typical recruitment company, RedRock makes sure that it gives as well as takes from its staff and the local community.”
