After launching the logistics division less than six months ago, Drivers Direct, one of the UK’s leading providers of temporary and permanent drivers to the transport and distribution sector, has added a further nine vehicles to their fleet to cope with growing demand.
The division was launched last year to provide a complete logistics solution of vehicles and LGV drivers to the industry. After identifying the need for more vehicles, the company selected Renault as their choice of supplier based on their vehicle range and commitment to meet Drivers Directs’ requirements.
Gethin Roberts, Managing Director of Drivers Direct, comments:
“We’re delighted with how well the first six months have been for our new logistics division and to be able to grow the business with an additional nine vehicles. The new division is an important step forward for the business as it helps us offer a complete logistics package and service the demand for our clients.”
Headquartered in Royton, near Oldham, Drivers Direct Logistics will offer clients access to more than 20 different vehicles and drivers. The location was selected due to its excellent access to the northern motorway network.
Drivers Direct has also announced the first five people to spot the new vehicles and email the location of the truck to [email protected], will win two tickets to Peterborough’s Truckfest.
Established in 2002, Drivers Direct covers all driver classes, from chauffeurs and fork lift driver’s right through to LGV Class 1 and 2 drivers, supplies more than 1000 drivers a week to clients from across the public and private sectors. The company currently has a network of 26 branches across the UK.
