Derek Pilcher, the former Head of Government Solutions for Monster UK, has joined the Board at Jobtrain. Chris Keeling, the Founder and former MD has become CEO. This represents a bold move by Jobtrain and is designed to build on their recent and sustained success.
Chris Keeling commented:
“The appointment of Derek means that we have a senior, experienced and commercially savvy individual who can drive the operational aspects of the business as we seek to deliver our broader goals. The arrival of Derek is something that I welcome at both a business level and at a personal level as it allows me to focus on the innovative side of the business, knowing that the operation is in safe hands”.
Derek Pilcher left Monster UK two years ago and has been involved, as Commercial Director, in leading the pan-European growth of a start-up, hospitality-focused, recruitment organisation based out of Barcelona. It was this broad background that proved a catalyst behind the appointment according to Derek:
“When I was approached by Jobtrain, a business I had known for a number of years, I thought this was a great opportunity to build upon my background of working with large-scale, technology-focused Government contracts, as well as my more recent experience of delivering growth in the recruitment and talent acquisition landscape across multiple European markets. Given that Jobtrain are increasingly providing multi-lingual solutions across many countries, this experience naturally lends itself to supporting their ambitious growth objectives in the UK and into Europe”.
Jobtrain is a business that is wholly privately owned and last year celebrated 20 years of providing recruitment-based technology solutions to the corporate market. Operating out of its Head Office in Altrincham, Cheshire, the business has plans to double its turnover every three years and this appointment is seen as a keystone in maintaining that growth.
