Exclusive Interview: Danny Parr, Business Launch & IT Director of The Recruit Venture Group


Danny Parr is Business Launch & IT Director of The Recruit Venture Group.

Over his career Danny has worked with, and been involved in a hugely diverse range of businesses which have provided him with a great amount of experience and knowledge across all industries. For the last 18 years Danny has been primarily involved in the recruitment sector, starting, merging, supporting and setting up dozens of successful, multi-million turnover businesses in the recruitment industry.

Tell us a little bit more about you and your role within The Recruit Venture Group

As the Business Launch and IT Director of the group, my team and I manage the launch process the business takes to support the creation of any new start-up recruitment business.

As a start-up, do they really need your help?

Anyone can start a business, but what you have to understand is what it takes to setup, grow and scale a business to a tangible size which will be rewarding financially and in day to day activities. The Recruit Venture Group has been through all the pitfalls and problems, dealt with the suppliers, the standards, the training, the software, the endless calls to change this provider and that service. Our start-up model hands the recruiter on a plate, the exact resources they need to succeed.

What do you believe is the most important element to get right before they launch?

I truly believe that there is not just one but a combination of lots of elements which done in the right way, from the start, will make their business a success. We have created a finally tuned engine with our process, a blueprint to allow them to launch your business in the most secure way, ready to hit the ground running. This provides them with the freedom to focus on the sales whilst all the rest is taken care off.

Briefly explain the stages The Recruit Venture Group takes to help set up their agency?

My team and I literally apply decades of experience, knowledge and resources in 24 hours something which, to a first time solo entrepreneur, is immensely valuable.

The launch process covers over 50 points.  Everything from company formation to their office setup, project managing to HR, contracts, terms and conditions for clients and candidates, employees etc, H&S and compliance, training… then on to IT, computers, software, email and phones, mobiles, internet and website, job boards…, they are all included…, trademarks, data protection, vehicles, insurances, payroll, accounts, credit control, PR, cyber protection and state of the art support. The list goes on and is vast.

They get the ability to launch their business fast without having to consider all the above and where to start with it. No waiting, no chasing up multiple suppliers, everything is presented to them with regular status updates of how we are progressing throughout the process. We work to a launch date defined with the owner at the stage and importantly there is no personal cost outlay to them at all.

Project Management

We draw up a launch plan working back from the date they wish to launch their business, during this time they receive regular status updates of where we are in the process, keeping them involved in every decision taken that affects their business, as the bottom line is – it’s their company, not ours.

Legal and Compliance 

We ensure that their business is set up with all the pertinent legal and compliance processes to allow them to compete fairly within their industry. We start with the formation of their company, registering for a bank account and creating all the necessary financial tools to manage your cash flow. We work with the owner to generate robust terms of business, insurances and employment contracts including the review of any restrictive covenants from their current employment which may hinder your growth.

We look at industry/sector specific requirements, DBS etc, to ensure they are covered and will provide regular updates on any legal/industry changes made which may affect their business in the future. We also have legal expertise on-hand to support their business should any issues arise.

Creative and branding

The creation of their brand is instrumental to the success of their company and just because they are good at recruitment doesn’t necessarily mean that they are a designer or have a creative mind. We have experts in-house who will support them in the creation of their brand name, generate a brand identity and build the tools their will need to support them from turning their business from an unknown name into one of significant success – website, signage, stationary and public relations.


No business is complete without the right resources to make it operational. We bring their branch to life, sorting everything from lease agreements, insurances, and H and S requirements…then it’s onto the IT, computers, software, email and phones, mobiles, internet and website, job boards…and …,trademarks  data protection, vehicles, insurances, , cyber protection and state of the art support.

How much input do they get in the creation of their business? 

This is their business and their input is crucial to the launch of their business. It is driven their wants and needs. We make the set up process easy but no decision is taken without the owner’s involvement from start to finish.

How long does it all take?

We are confident we can have your business up ready to trade in as little as two months from the day you agree to create your business, you set the date you wish to launch and we will work it around your notice period.

Is the support for their business on-going?
