The Botanist Trinity is offering a once in a lifetime opportunity for a self-confessed Yorkshire foodie to be given the title of ‘Chief Yorkshire Pudding Tester’, and bag £250 for their time.

Listed exclusively on community platform Airtasker.co.uk, which recently expanded into Leeds, the job calls on Yorkshire residents to register via the website or app and comment on the task: https://www.airtasker.co.uk/tasks/need-help-perfecting-my-yorkshire-puddings-12224037/ , sharing a story of their most memorable roast dinner. Head Chef Sebastian and his team will judge their favourite response and welcome the successful applicant to the restaurant.

Sebastian, Head Chef at The Botanist Trinity comments:

“There’s tough competition for the ‘Best Sunday lunch in Leeds’, but I reckon my Yorkshire puds are the best in the country. I’m looking for someone to visit The Botanist Trinity and give my team and I some honest face-to-face feedback, the kind you only get from Yorkshire folk!”

Australian start-up Airtasker announced Leeds to be the latest city in its expansion, following success in London earlier this year. Airtasker is a community platform website and app that connects people and businesses with members of the local community who are able to complete tasks to earn additional money.

An evolution of the local noticeboard, Airtasker leverages technology to help members of the community come together in a trusted environment to create working opportunities. Jobs posted range from cleaning homes, making deliveries and dog walking, to the more unusual such as baking birthday cakes, queuing for festival tickets and writing lyrics for a jingle.

The notice from The Botanist Trinity details the following job description:

I’m Sebastian, Head Chef at The Botanist Trinity.

Do you love Yorkshire Puddings? Fancy yourself as the next Paul Hollywood?

Yes? Then I’ve got a task for you! We’re searching for one Yorkshire resident who knows what makes the perfect pud’ to help us perfect our signature Sunday Roast.

One lucky candidate will be chosen to attend a session at The Botanist Trinity, where you’ll be served a wide range of Yorkshire puddings made using different methods, with gravy of course! Oh, and did we mention we’ll pay YOU £250 for your time?

Your feedback will be used to help our team to continue serving the very best Yorkshire puddings, and settle a few arguments around who’s family recipe really is the best!

If this task sounds perfect for you, we want to know why.

You’ll need to click “make an offer” and tell us in the comments about the most memorable roast dinner you’ve ever had.

Maybe you travelled miles back home for your Mum’s roast beef after a break up, or did you pop the question over the gravy boat? Perhaps your most prominent memory is burning the potatoes to crisps and having to eat out instead! Whatever made that roast dinner memorable, we want to know about it.

The applicant with the story that makes us laugh or cry the most will be given the chance to join us at the tasting session.
