Kazakhstan – Unemployment Falls by 176,000 in 9 Years


According to the experts in the Employment Information Centre of the Ministry of Health and Social Development (MHSD) the total number of unemployed people reduced from 625,000 people in 2006 to 449,000 in the second quarter of 2015, a fall of 176,000. This year, over 118,000 people have been employed, including 97,400 people who got permanent jobs,

“The share of graduates in the total number of the unemployed increased from 20.1% in 2006 (118,000 people) to 28.2% in 2014 (124,000) and 32.4% in the second quarter of 2015 (141,000). This is due to the fact that during the second quarter, graduates from school, colleges, technical schools and universities enter the labour market”  a spokesperson said.
