London’s Calling for James Caan CBE Backed Recruitment Firm Meraki Talent


The move comes as the firm celebrates its continued success placing exceptional individuals into many of the largest global banks, fund management firms, Big Four and top ten accounting firms. The consistent growth of its client base is a strong indicator of the health of UK financial services sector, to which it aims to be the first-choice provider for.

Founded in January 2015 by recruitment duo Andrew Welsh and Laura Drysdale, Meraki Talent have grown to a team of 23 experts, each of whom have an average of eight years industry experience, based in their Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. With the backing of former Dragon’s Den and renowned recruitment industry expert James Caan, the company have taken the strategic decision to open in London.

Founding Director, Andrew Welsh, said

“Opening a new London office is the next logical step for our business. Most of our clients have a presence in the square mile and in 2017 we derived 18% of our financial services revenue from the City. As part of delivering a world class service, by putting experts on the ground, we will aim to further expand our service to both existing and new clients”.

Leading the new office set-up is Nathan MacFie, Senior Manager for their Investment Management & Asset Servicing business who is relocating from Edinburgh.

With over 15 years experience within the Recruitment industry, Mark considers digital publishing, digital engagement, recruitment marketing and advertising (all media), digital video production, creative design and more recently social media development as his core knowledge and where a lot of his experience lays.

Having been at the forefront of the digital publishing sector for well over a decade, Mark has founded numerous job boards and publishing businesses.
