Man named Kim tries and fails to get a job for four months…until he adds ‘Mr’ to his resume and the offers pour in

A man named Kim has told how he discovered gender discrimination when, after failing to get a job for months, he added ‘Mr’ to his name on his resume, and the offers began pouring in.

In his Tumblr article, Kim O’Grady from Perth, Australia, explains how he spent four months getting rejection after rejection, even though he had plenty of experience in sales, engineering and managing technical and trade supply businesses, which should have made it relatively easy to find a job.

It finally donned on him that Kim, while ‘technically gender neutral’, is often seen as a woman’s name, so he put ‘Mr’ in front of it on his resume, and the offers instantly began rolling in.
