A growing Midlands training firm has appointed a new director as it addresses a surging demand for apprentices and staff with the latest skills.
Ben Drew, age 38, has been promoted to a new role of business development director at Options Training, a division of the award-winning eResponse Group, which provides bespoke training and workplace learning programmes.
Mr Drew, who previously led eResponse’s partnership work for two years, will now be responsible for extending the reach of the Worcestershire-based group by building training links with partner businesses, awarding bodies, and through the creation of an innovative online learning platform.
A key part of his role will be to oversee the launch of the Options Training Online distance learning programme, Pearl. The service will allow people to train from the comfort of their own homes and could be rolled out on a global scale.
Paul Alekna, chief executive of eResponse Group, said:
“We have big plans for the future of Options Training and Ben is a key appointment who will help bring those plans to fruition.
“Ben has more than a decade of experience in the training sector and is an ideal choice for the role. He has the expertise, contacts and credentials to help take Options to a new level as we build for the future.
“He will also work to develop our apprenticeship offering, creating new partnerships with employers, ensuring they have access to funding to create new jobs and opportunities. It’s a well-deserved appointment.”
Ben Drew, added:
“This is a really exciting time for Options Training, both for ourselves and the many apprentices and learners we work with, equipping them with the essential skills and qualifications businesses need.
“I am delighted to be playing my part in the next phase of the division as more employers look to work with us. Options Training has an exemplary reputation in the training sector and I am looking to enhance that even further in the months and years ahead.”
eResponse Group is headquartered in Redditch with branches also in Worcester, Kidderminster, Rugby, Coventry and Northampton.
