Indications that the Government won’t rush through any changes to IR35, is welcome news, according to contracting specialist Nova Contracting, but contractors would be on alert for the publication of the draft Finance Bill on December 9.
In the wake of this week’s Autumn Statement, there was confirmation that restrictions on travel and subsistence allowances would be implemented as expected in April 2016, but the anticipated detail on changes to IR35 did not emerge.
Nova Contracting Director Marcus Green comments: “Although the Chancellor was very light on detail, all indications are that the industry will get clarification in a fortnight’s time when the draft Finance Bill is published.
