Patrick Wehrmann to Take Over Responsibility as Chief People Officer for Stepstone Group


The hiring platform Totaljobs Group has announced that its CEO and StepStone Group Managing Director Patrick Wehrmann will take over the role as Chief People Officer/Managing Director for Totaljobs Group’s parent company StepStone at the beginning of 2020. Jon Wilson, who currently holds a position as Managing Director Northern Europe at Groupon, will join Totaljobs Group as General Manager in November 2019.

In addition to Groupon, Jon Wilson has held managing positions at companies such as LivingSocial, Thomson Local and XpertHR.

“After the successful integration of our companies and repositioning of our 11 brands in the UK, Jon is the experienced commercial and operational leader we have been looking for to lead our UK market activities for the next phase of continued growth. He has a deep and unique understanding of managing marketplace businesses through the connection of data, digital marketing and sales. Additionally, he has broad experience in heading commercial and operations teams”, said Patrick Wehrmann.

Before joining StepStone as Group Managing Director in 2015 and becoming CEO of StepStone UK in 2016, Patrick Wehrmann served as Managing Director of Axel Springer Digital Classifieds. In this position he held several supervisory and advisory board positions in the digital classifieds businesses of Axel Springer worldwide. In his new role as Chief People Officer/Managing Director for StepStone, Wehrmann will be responsible for all people related matters, business transformation as well as Mergers and Acquisitions.


With over 15 years experience within the Recruitment industry, Mark considers digital publishing, digital engagement, recruitment marketing and advertising (all media), digital video production, creative design and more recently social media development as his core knowledge and where a lot of his experience lays.

Having been at the forefront of the digital publishing sector for well over a decade, Mark has founded numerous job boards and publishing businesses.
