The Presidency yesterday clarified its position on the eradication of unemployment in the country, emphasising that no country provides more than 10 per cent of employment to its citizens.
Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation, Mrs. Josephine Washima, at an interaction with newsmen in Abuja, said what government does is to provide enabling environment for private investors that would drive the economy.
According to her, President Goodluck Jonathan’s insistence on the completion of projects in the transportation, power, agricultural and textile sectors, had helped in no small measures, to create more jobs for Nigerians. “Job creation is different from employment; a lot of people get that mixed up. Job creation is the opportunities that generate employment.
