Recent Growth Means Two New Offices for Forward Role Recruitment

2015 has been a year of growth for Forward Role Recruitment seeing the team more than double during the year.  The new hires have enabled us to strengthen our B2B Marketing recruitment offering by moving into sectors such as Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction, which have not traditionally been our core business.  We have also improved our Agency offering by launching a division dedicated to this sector, which will be headed up by Ian Lenehan, who previously held a similar position at Blue Skies.

This influx of new hires meant we were bursting at the seams at our Bolton offices so we needed to move to larger premises.  Not wanting to move far, we were lucky enough to find a perfect space across the car park.

fr2We wanted to make our new office an exciting and interesting place for both staff and visitors, so, taking our inspiration from some of our clients’ recent moves, we’ve included some fun elements.  Top clients Missguided and were both in the news recently for their funky and cool offices – we may not be as big as them (or have their budgets!) but we’d like to think that with a bit of imagination we’ve achieved our goal.  We couldn’t have done it without creative agency, Arena Creative, who were also responsible for’s amazing offices and were able to turn our vision into the great space we have now.

On entering the office, the first thing our visitors are greeted with is our ‘Wall of Fame’ which displays logos of our key clients and case studies.  Our values are very important to us so these are also on display in our reception area to remind us all what is important to our business.

fr3In our boardroom, we’ve got a timeline illustrating the key milestones in the history of Forward Role – from an office in MD Steve’s bedroom with Peeps the Cat – to today’s office with space for 30 ‘Forward Rollers’. There’s also imagery showing the evolution of our brand mascot ‘Roland’.

We all know that ‘All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy’ so injecting fun into our new space was an important part of our plans.  There’s a large break out area with beach hut themed kitchen, picnic table and pool table for that much needed down time.
fr4Our recent expansion into the Agency sector needed a greater presence in Manchester City Centre, so yet another office move was organised to move our Manchester office into Spinningfields, just in time to take advantage of the gluhwein and bratwurst at the Christmas markets. Our agency team have a 1960’s ‘Mad Men’ style office, complete with red leather chesterfields to kick back in – although our drinks cabinet is limited to Vimto, Tea and Coffee!
