RIDI Awards 2019: Winners Announced

The winners of the 2019 Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative Awards were announced yesterday at an exclusive event in central London hosted by Paralympian gold medallist, Liz Johnson.

Launched in 2014, the RIDI Awards celebrate and showcase companies that are making progress in removing the barriers for disabled jobseekers.

Chair of the Judging Panel, Kate Headley, commented:

“The RIDI Awards are the culmination of another year’s hard work campaigning for greater inclusion for disabled professionals. This year’s entries were extremely strong, and all of the stories that were shared with us were truly inspiring. Singling out winners from such a strong pool of applications was tough, but we believe the winners we have chosen were truly exceptional. I’d especially like to praise the strength and number of entries in the Getting Started category. With more companies than ever beginning their Disability Confidence journey, there’s every reason to be optimistic for the future.’’

“I’d also like to thank our judges, who have volunteered their time in order to make this incredible journey possible. While there’s still a long way to go, judging by the progress made this year – we are getting much closer to real change. I firmly believe that we are on the path to creating a Disability Confident landscape for all disabled job seekers.”

The event was made possible due to the support of ‘Gold’ sponsors such as AXA XL, DWF, Clear Company, E.ON, Guidant Global and Lloyd’s; ‘Silver’ sponsors, including Amey, Chemical Code, LMG, Markel and Recite Me; and ‘Bronze’ partners, such as Digital Accessibility Centre, Disability Confident, Kelly and Wells Tobias

The judging panel included senior representatives from a variety of organisation, namely: Paul Awcock, Head of Talent Sourcing at Lloyd’s, Ty Jones, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Engagement at DWF, and Jane Hatton, Director at Evenbreak.

  • Individual Choice – 24-7 Recruitment

The winner of the Greatest Impact award, voted for by attendees on the night, was Clarity & Co
