Global recruitment and project manpower specialist in the energy and rail sectors, Samuel Knight International, has appointed Owen Powys as its new Director of Renewable and Clean Energy, as the firm continues its aggressive five-year growth plan.
With an extensive background in renewable energy, and experience in managing clients across Europe, Owen will bring a wealth of knowledge with him to the role to support the firm’s business growth opportunities.
Welcoming the new appointment, Steve Rawlingson, CEO at Samuel Knight said:
“I’m delighted to now have Owen on the Samuel Knight team. As we have recently entered the Middle Eastern market and expanded our operations in the US, it is now more important than ever to have driven leaders like Owen helping to direct our people and take the company to the next level. We’ve experienced rapid business and headcount growth this year, and we have plans to continue our upwards trajectory.”
Commenting on his new role, Owen Powys said:
“I’m ecstatic to be working for a fantastic company like Samuel Knight and to be a part of its growth story. With the rapid development of renewables, and the company’s key role in assisting major energy projects across the globe, right now is a particularly exciting time to come on board. What really attracts me to the company the most, though, is its vision to bring subject matter expertise into the field. There is a lack of personnel in the industry and I want to help change that.”
