Senior Appointment to Lead HRC Recruitment’s New Technology Offering


HRC Recruitment has hired experienced recruiter Tony Baker to spearhead its new dedicated technology division.

Tony joins the independent recruitment specialist as a divisional manager from Search Consultancy, where he led the technology and transformation division in Glasgow. In a career spanning more than 10 years in the industry, Tony has also held roles at Hays, Tecology Recruitment and Be-IT.

Tony will work across Scotland’s central belt to drive the new division forward, sourcing permanent and contract recruits for companies within the IT sector. HRC Recruitment already has plans to expand the team and harness opportunities with Scotland’s tech SMEs – an area the firm has identified as a significant development opportunity.

A report published by national skills agency Skills Development Scotland (SDS) in October 2019 predicted that Scotland’s technology industry will be one of the fastest to grow over the next decade, with more than 13,000 tech-related job opportunities each year.

Commenting on his new role, Tony Baker said:
