Shropshire Businesses Attend Law Firm’s Mock Employment Tribunal


Over 70 business leaders and HR specialists from across Shropshire have attended a unique mock employment tribunal.

Employment experts from Shropshire law firm mfg Solicitors, together with specialists from Hays Recruitment, co-hosted the session which was aimed at promoting a better understanding amongst businesses of the complex employment tribunal process.

Held at Wellington’s Wrekin College, it covered a variety of key areas including unfair dismissal and procedural fairness.

The tribunal simulation, which saw attendees giving their input at every stage, was chaired by mfg partner, Chris Piggott.

He said;

“This was the first time we have held a mock tribunal session in Shropshire and we were delighted to see so many large and small businesses represented from across the county.

“It was a session deliberately designed to get people involved so they went away with a clearer understanding of how a tribunal looks and feels, and what they need to do to prepare.

“The feedback has been exceptional. It was a hugely successful event and we are following it up with similar sessions later this year.”

Further mock tribunals will be held later this year with details to be published in the coming months.
