Global technology recruitment company Talent has announced the appointment of Darren Wells to the position of EMEA Chief Executive Officer.
This move comes at a time of exceptional growth for the global business, as Talent continues to build its presence throughout the EMEA, APAC and USA regions. Darren Wells is Talent’s former Chief Operations Officer, and in his new role as CEO he’ll bring some of his most pioneering ideas to Talent’s strategical growth over the next five years.
Talent is an innovative technology and digital recruitment company working to “redefine recruitment” with a unique vision: to break from the pack and create the most rewarding experiences, services and products for their customers, clients and community. The company’s offerings move from contingency to solutions and partnership, and clients are a crucial part of their journey in helping shape the recruitment sector.
“The recruitment sector has faced significant change and challenges over the past eighteen months, with political uncertainty leaving us to wonder how the UK can move forward in a competitive global market.
“I am hugely excited and honoured to take on the role of CEO, working to better our sector and guide our staff to become great advocates of innovation. It’s a huge challenge, and an exciting one. My vision is to ensure all our consultants are adequately trained in their market as technical experts, with verified training recognised by the tech industry.
“Only by being true experts and leading the way in technological innovation can we redefine the world of recruitment and offer cutting-edge products and services with no boundaries.”
As the world of work moves towards greater flexibility and more freelance opportunities, Talent are developing their own technology to provide a “life hub” for contractors globally.
The digital hub, Talent Engage, hopes to provide contractors with a unique alternative where they can build their own portfolio of partners and get rewards based on their performance and loyalty with Talent. This will create the opportunity for them to work globally and locally and find support on personal and professional matters.
Speaking on Wells’ appointment, Talent’s Global Executive Vice Chairman Jon Butterfield said:
“This is an incredibly exciting and challenging time for Talent as we continue to grow the core business while introducind and expanding new service offerings.
“Darren has a superb understanding of the business across EMEA. He’s committed to our culture and our values; he has supported the leadership team very closely and I firmly believe he is the best person to drive the business forwards. I wish him every success in his new role, and I will continue to support I will continue to support and act as an advisory to Darren as we work to build the company.”
