Following the successful launch of WRS’ Manufacturing & Engineering division back in June 2016, the specialist Engineering staffing solutions company are gearing up for a period of growth to as they look to further penetrate the sector. Having largely focused on the FMCG space throughout the UK, the division expanded at the start of 2017 to cover the Automotive sector and has now made inroads into the Pharmaceutical and Aerospace sectors.
WRS’ CEO Mark Brown commented,
“Manufacturing in the wake of the Brexit vote has remained strong, with Manufacturers enjoying growth in the latter half of 2016, so we came into the industry at a good time. Numerous client acquisitions in the past few months have brought us to the point where we’re confident about the future of the division both in terms of contract and permanent recruitment, alongside our other core client services.”
WRS have earmarked significant investment into growing the division and are in the process of recruiting a number of experienced consultants and business development personnel to aid further expansion.
“We’re looking for people with proven expertise in recruiting within the industry, initially focusing on the UK and towards the latter half of 2017 pushing further into Europe and also placing key staff in our Asia Pacific regional Headquarters in Singapore, to tap into Asia’s lucrative market,” says Brown.
“After a difficult couple of years for our core markets in Oil, Gas and Mining, the diversification we’ve undertaken has seen the business going from strength to strength. Right now we’re confident that the investment we’ve made already is bearing fruit, and further growth will take the business into a strong 2018.”
