The Biggest Workplace Trends for 2016

As we plow through the second month of 2016, the Brighton School of Business and Management has produced an infographic on the biggest workplace trends emerging in 2016.

Some of the key points from their research include;

  • More than 1 in 4 ‘Millennials’ (those born between the 1980s and 2000s) will become managers in 2016.
  • Office space is shrinking and will continue to do so in 2016. By 2020, the average amount of space per employee will drop to 150 square feet, down from 400 in 1985.
  • Maternity leave will become an even bigger topic with 64% of employees saying that they want unlimited maternity leave.
