Two Major Developments at Norrie Johnston Recruitment

Global executive search and interim management firm, Norrie Johnston Recruitment (NJR), has announced two major developments. Rex Cridland, who has been with the firm for five years, has been promoted to Managing Director and Daryl Stickland is joining the company as a new Director, where he will lead the firm’s Non-Executive Director (NED) & Chairman practice.

Since joining NJR in 2014, Rex has helped build both sides of the business. He has expanded its portfolio of clients and helped the firm win major contracts in over 20 countries.

One of Rex’s first moves as MD is the appointment of Daryl Stickland. Daryl will work right across NJR’s rapidly expanding business but, in particular, will head up its practice which supplies NEDs, independent Directors and Chairmen for both public and private markets, including private equity and venture capital portfolios.

Daryl, who is also an Ambassador for the Institute of Directors in the UK, has an extensive international network thanks to over 15 years’ experience in senior recruitment, finding executive talent for business critical positions in growth-minded organisations, as well as exceptional non-executives. He has filled both UK and international roles, working across an array of sectors including financial services, IT and technology, pharma, manufacturing, FMCG, not-for-profit and even professional sport.

Prior to joining NJR, Daryl was a Senior Partner and Board member of CNA International Executive Search, a global executive search business, and subsidiary of the c.1£bn turnover PE backed Pertemps Network Group.

Part of NJR’s success is down to its team having real-world business experience.  Daryl fits this mould perfectly, having also had a non-recruitment career, which involved EMEA finance and commercial roles for global US & UK corporations.
