WRS, global staffing specialists across the Oil & Gas, Mining, Marine, Construction and Power industries, are the proud winners of The Campaign for Learning Learning at Work Week Award for Supporting Organisational and Business Goals in the SME Category.
Ash McDonagh, WRS’ Head of L&D, said, “Learning & Development of our staff is something we have prioritised highly through 2015 and will continue to do so in the coming years, having put in place a number of processes which allow our consultants and support staff to own and take control of their own careers with us, so it’s fantastic to have been recognised for the work we have been doing so far.”
Much of the activity around the WRS Learning at Work Week was concerned with building a strategy for “cross pollination” in between teams, the major objective of this being for each department to design and present a departmental overview to colleagues offering advice on how to pitch each service to support achievement of the company objective to coincide with LAW Week activity. As a result of this, WRS achieved 6 cross pollinations equating to an increase in revenue of over £30,000.
What’s more, the Learning at Work Week also saw a number of fun activities at the Head Office in Altrincham, Cheshire, including a Paella cooking masterclass, the Typing King & Queen competition and Countries of the World Competition.
WRS would like to say thanks and congratulations to everyone here who took part in the week and extend their congratulations to the other winners and shortlisted companies.
